Scotchmans Hill was established in 1982 by David and Vivienne Browne, on one of the most beautiful landform settings in Australia. After many successful vintages Scotchmans Hill know that any wine can be made in the winery, but really great wine is made in the vineyard. The winemaking team focuses on isolating grapes displaying the most healthy, clean and intense fruit characters possible. From this point the winemaking is about being a conduit for those vineyard characters. Divided into the subregions of Albany, Denmark, Frankland River, Mount Barker and Porongurup, Great Southern provides an ideal environment for cool climate viticulture and distinctive regional wines.
