 Yalumba
Yalumba, Australia's oldest family owned and operated winery, has a wealth of history and tradition
Yalumba was founded in 1849 by Samuel Smith, British migrant and English brewer, who had brought his family to Angaston seeking a new life. After purchasing a 30-acre parcel of land just beyond the southern-eastern boundary of Angaston, Smith and his son began planting the first vines by moonlight. Samuel named his patch Yalumba, aboriginal for 'all the land around'.

 Stanton Killeen
In 1855 Timothy Stanton abandoned his occupation as a mechanic in West Suffolk and brought his family to Australia in search of gold
In 1864 together with his son John Lewis Stanton, Timothy purchased land at Rutherglen in North East Victoria immediately establishing a farm and vineyard. By 1875 the Stantons were well established as successful Rutherglen vignerons. Timothy's grandson John Richard Stanton continued to improve and expand the business and by the 1920s had established the magnificent Park View vineyard and winery.
 Seppeltsfield
The Seppeltsfield vineyard is one of the largest and most historic in the Barossa Valley, having been initially planted in the 1850s
The heart of Seppeltsfield is the unique collection of fortified wines slowly maturing in oak barrels, and dating back in an unbroken line to 1878. Today's Seppeltsfield believe the range to be the most comprehensive of any fortified house in the world, encompassing traditional European fortified styles- principally “port” and “sherry” styles- but with an Australian twist- the grapes used for port style wines are traditionally the same as those which make the great Barossa dry reds- i.e. Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro (Mourvèdre), and a such are quite distinctively different from those made in Portugals’s wonderful Douro Valley.
 Seppelt
Since 1851, The House of Seppelt has been at the forefront of Australian winemaking, consolidating a reputation for innovation and quality
From its beginnings in the Barossa Valley in 1851, Seppelt has pioneered vineyard plantings in regions of southern and eastern Australia. Constantly innovating, Seppelt is creating new wine styles, new packaging and new ideas that position this outstanding winery as a world leader. Seppelt's Great Western Winery is famous for The Drives (the labyrinthine catacombs of sparkling cellars) and home to the two champion Shiraz wines, St. Peters of Great Western, and the world-renowned Show Sparkling Shiraz.
 Rutherglen Estates
The Rutherglen Estates wine range is inspired by the region’s traditions, and its climatic suitability for growing the classic grape varieties of the Rhone Valley and Italy
In 1996, after an extensive search for the area most suitable to produce an innovative range of wines, Rutherglen Estates was born. In order to ensure the ongoing development of the brand, the company was set up in conjunction with RV (Rutherglen Vineyards) Management, the viticultural arm of Rutherglen Estates, with vineyard development well underway by 1997. With new concepts, economic management and cutting-edge technology, RV Management is responsible for a total of 358 hectares of vines, making it the largest vineyard development that the Rutherglen region has ever seen.

 Roland Kaval
Roland Kaval is an accomplished, entrepreneurial, and highly intrepid winemaker from Victoria
Durif is a rare red grape variety brought to Rutherglen from France in 1908 by the eminent Australian viticulturalist Francois de Castella. Whilst very little Durif remains in France today, the variety has flourished in Rutherglen where the long dry autumns and abundant sunshine allow the fruit to develop intense colour and rich flavours. In fact, this unique variety seems to have found its ideal Australian home in Rutherglen where it is regarded as the region’s flagship red wine.

 Morris
After five generations of Rutherglen viticulture and unprecedented success at international competitions, David Morris has emerged as one of Australia's most outstanding winemakers
Morris Wines, established in 1859, is the continuing story of five generations of family winemakers. George Francis Morris established his vineyard and winery near Rutherglen in North Eastern Victoria. He planted a trial vineyard plot of ten acres at Fairfield two miles east of the current Morris Mia Mia winery location. By 1885 Morris planting's had grown to over 200 acres making them the largest wine producer in the Southern Hemisphere. By the late 1890s the devastating spread of Phyloxera, an aphidlike insect that attacks and kills vines, crippled the Rutherglen district.
 De Bortoli
De Bortoli is an exciting, innovative family owned wine company, having enjoyed spectacular success throughout it's entire range of wines
The winemaking team is overseen by third generation winemaker Darren De Bortoli and his brother-in-law Steve Webber who is married to Leanne De Bortoli. The dynamic duo has been responsible for many winemaking innovations and developments. Darren De Bortoli is the creator of the world acclaimed Noble One. Chambers Rosewood
Some people have a little trouble finding Chambers Rosewood, a very relaxed family owned winery established in 1858 and operated by the legendary Bill Chambers and his son Stephen, the 6th generation of this family to make wine at Rosewood
New visitors are constantly astounded by the extensive offerings of reasonably priced red and white wines, Sherries and Ports, while those who have been before are reassured that value for money is still very much the norm at Chambers. Internationally acclaimed for Muscats, Tokays and other fortified wines, Chambers Rosewood have a comprehensive range of wines to suit every palate and budget with everything from cleanskin wines to 2 litre flagons and bulk wines on offer.
 Campbells
Situated entirely within the defined Rutherglen Wine Region, the Campbell vineyards total approximately 64 hectares of trialled and proven varietals
Rutherglen's warm and dependable climate is, in many ways similar to the Rhone region of France and it comes as no surprise that the Rhone specialties of Shiraz (known as Syrah in France) and Durif prosper here. The vital ingredient to Rutherglen's climate is the normally long, warm and dry Autumn ripening period. This enables the grapes to slowly and consistently ripen to maturity, producing the true varietal flavours so evident in the Campbell reds and whites.
 Buller
After a distinguished career in the Royal Australian Navy, Reginald Langdon Buller in 1921 took up land at Rutherglen in the winegrowing region of North East Victoria
The Rutherglen winegrowing region was then, as it is now, famous for its fortified wines, Muscats, and full bodied red wines. Reginald Buller called his vineyard Calliope after the British warship. Producing delicious luscious wines and gutsy, full-bodied reds, the backbone of this vineyard is Rutherglen Shiraz. Old Shiraz vines at Calliope are not irrigated so yields are low at about one tonne to the acre. Consequently the fruit from this vineyard produces intensely flavoured wines, but in rather small quantities, that Andrew Buller crafts into wines of great depth and elegance. There are also small plantings of some of the rarer varieties including Mondeuse and Cinsaut.

 Baileys Glenrowan
The Baileys wine-making story began in the 1860’s, when Richard Bailey and his young family arrived in Australia
The Baileys set up a store in Glenrowan to supply miners on nearby goldfields. This store was located alongside the famous Anne Jones Inn where the Kelly gang siege was to take place. As the gold fields dried up and the miners moved on, the Bailey family turned to farming instead, settling their property near Glenrowan. Back then, rural life was tough and lonely, and the Glenrowan countryside was barren and unforgiving. But the Baileys family persevered on their property named “Bundarra”: eventually planting one of the district’s first vineyards.
 All Saints
Established in 1864, All Saints Estate is one of Australia's original wineries, steeped in history and folklore from another era
Established by two enterprising Scots, George Sutherland Smith and John Banks, the castle was built in the 1880s, based on the design of The Castle of May, complete with turrets and tower. The castle is classified by the Historic Buildings Council, along with two other Estate buildings, the former bottling hall, cellar and Chinese Dormitory. The former bottling hall and cellar now houses The Indigo Cheese Co. and the Chinese Dormitory. Built over a hundred years ago, it is the last remaining example of its type.
