Cartwheel's Sam Glaetzer worked as a cellarhand at Barossa Valley Estates and went on to various roles within Beringer Blass. He is an Environmental Engineer and is focused on the highest standards of sustainable viticulture. Fruit is sourced from vineyard sites around the warmer, northern part of the Margaret River region, carefully managed to produce distinctly regional Cabernet wines. Grapes are harvested and crushed, destemmed and vinified in temperature controlled vessels. Following fermentation, the wines are racked into a selection of new and prior use French and American oak barrels. After a year of maturation, parcels are assessed and assembled into the final wine before filtration and bottling.
