Premium harvests from some of the finest vineyards are selected to maintain consistency, quality and style, a significant proportion is sourced from splendid Barossa sites. At the heart of the Penfolds philosophy lies a value that ultimately it is the quality of fruit and approachability of the final wine which are paramount. After completing primary and secondary ferments, Koonunga Hill is matured in a selection of fine American and French oak barrels. Koonunga Hill offers excellent palate structure and considerable length, very ready for full enjoyment upon release, while offering excellent cellarability.
