Penfolds are able to source quality fruit from a diverse range of vineyards, including some of the best and oldest sites across South Australia, a tremendous resource which leads to a remarkable consistency of style. Thomas Hyland combines the highly succesful Penfolds multi-district blending skills with a focus on rich and flavoursome contemporary styling. Depending on the vintage, components from Coonawarra or Langhorne Creek may be included in the final wine, while the addition of ripe, powerful McLaren Vale fruit and elegantly proportioned Robe Cabernet Sauvignon enhances the overall style. Thomas Hyland is matured in a combination of new and prior use French and American oak barrels.
