Thomas Hyland Shiraz is made to be attractive and approachable immediately upon release every year, whilst retaining the inimitable character and charm expected of Penfolds. Thomas Hyland is characterised by good expression of varietal flavour within a solid palate structure. The fastidiously managed vineyards yield fruit of great elegance and intensity of flavour. The finished wine is treated to maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels, a portion remains unoaked to retain fresh fruit flavours.
