At the western end of the Yarra Valley in the village of Kangaroo Ground you will find Redbox Winery. Set on a property named Wildfell by the first landholder in 1851, the site is gingerly tended and harvested to yield the finest fruit. As spring turns into summer and vines are flourishing, the entire Yarra Valley is dressed in brilliant hues of green. The local folklore has it that around this time, a pot of gold awaits to be discovered amongst the vines, where a rainbow normally settles between showers. Chardonnay is whole bunch pressed, cool tank fermented and teated to lees stirring over the course of a month, improving texture and infusing the wine with mouthfilling flavours.
