A pure Chenin Blanc wine, from fruit grown exclusively to premiere vineyards within the elite coterie of superior Margaret River vineyards. Grapes are picked at varying degrees of ripeness to form a complex yet harmonious palate which shows elegant fruit characteristics, whilst exhibiting the flavour intensity of riper, late picked berries. Full of freshness and vitality, the lifted nose makes an ideal aperitif, its engaging palate and textural finish merits accompaniement to delicate white meats and fleshy fishes. By maintaining optimal balance between contemporary and traditionalist winemaking techniques, Amberley Estate have remained true to their original vision of making wines solely from fruit grown to superior Margaret River vineyards. A selection of cultured yeasts and closely managed ferments achieve a soft yet complex, elegantly fruit driven Chenin Blanc, designed to complement today's eclectic cuisines. Following the crush, grapes are pressed and the juices are inoculated. In order to enhance the varietal aromas, Chimney Brush is vinified in controlled fermenters to retain vitality and freshness. The emphasis at all stages of handling is to preserve the natural qualities of Margaret River Chenin Blanc.
TASTING NOTESBright, light straw hues. Clean, fresh aromas of green apple and pear, underlying hints of honeysuckle and toasty notes add complexity. Off dry palate with a crisp acidity that refreshes the middle and back palate, intensity of fruit offering juicy characters of Fuji apples, apple blossoms and lime, concluding with attractive honey notes right at the finish. |
