Pirramimma are one of the nation's most enduring estates, owned and operated by the same family since establishment in the 1890s. Choice harvests from the War Horse, Johnston Prolific and Katunga vineyards, are assembled into the traditional style of McLaren Vale Shiraz. A smooth and seamless palate, brimming with blackberries and plum, dark chocolate and sweet vanilla oak, all supported by opulent, velvet tannins.

The comerstone philosophy is to produce wine from grapes which are exclusively estate grown, thereby ensuring that the highest possible quality standards are met. The exquisite balance, exemplary handling of oak and profound integration between firm tannins and ripe fruit flavours have long been a feature of Geoff Johnston's award winning Shiraz style. Grapes are harvested from fully mature vines thirty to forty years of age, the finished wine is filled to an extravagant selection of completely new American oak barriques, for two years maturation before release.
