Chapoutiers of the Rhone Valley have invested in a joint venture with Jasper Hill to develop an adjacent vineyard. Beyond the sensational site, it's the commitment to low yields, dry farming and non-interventionist, organic viticultural practices that place Jasper Hill among the top Australian Shiraz producers. The two vineyard sites are named after daughters Emily and Georgia. The unirrigated, low-yielding, drought and frost ravaged Georgia's Paddock is a must for the Shiraz afficianado.
