Tyrrell's is a story about pioneers, men and women who transformed Australia, planted grapes, and looked for better ways to make wine. From historical roots in the Hunter Valley, Tyrrell has ventured across the country to locate fruit from the finest vineyards. Harvests of Sauvignon Blanc are vinified at the Pokolbin winery around a component of estate grown Hunter Valley Semillon. Following inoculation by aromatic yeasts to maximise fragrant character and a cool, temperature controlled fermentation, Old Winery is promptly assembled and bottled to retain all the vivacious, classic dry white fruit flavours.
