The Lagavulin whiskyworks are at the very bottom of Islay Isle, betwixt Distilleries Ardbeg and Laphroaig. Established 1816 by the Messrs Jonston and Campbell, one of Islay's first licensed Distilleries, Lagavulin have been at the centre of the island's long and fractious history of bootleg, rivalry and intrigue. Highly articulate of Islay Isle's locally grown barley and unique peaty bogs, an extremely limited release of a precious 25 Year Old edition by one of the world's great marques, for the aspiring fine Malt inquisitive and discerning Whisky enthusiast alike.
