If you don't know what all the hype is about, at a recent blind tasting by the Beverage Testing Institute, Jose Cuervo Platino was ranked as the number one Silver Tequila, outperforming all other ultra premium Tequilas. Jose Cuervo Platino received the Institute's highest rating ever, 96 out of 100.
After a surge in demand for top shelf Tequila, particularly in the Silver category, the Cuervo family felt it was time to unlock their secret. Platino is made exclusively from blue agave and is handcrafted using a proprietary distillation method called Esencia de Agave. There is great attention to detail in this process, from the heart of the agave in the tequila, to the way it is handcrafted, to the individually numbered stylized bottles, to the hand dipped wax seal and elegant wooden box. Until now, Platino has been a private reserve of the Cuervo family. Now the Cuervo private stock is available to all in the form of Jose Cuervo Platino
Clear, faint straw hues. Deep, multilayered and evolving aromas of cedar and suede, stone fruits and dried floral. An exceptionally smooth and effortless entry leads to a silky, fruity full body of creamy vanilla bean, roasted pineapple and nuts, figs, leather and grilled peppers. Finishes with a very long and spicy fade of honey and exotic peppercorns, green herbs and brine. Vibrant, a very complex agave character supported by a kiss of spicy oak.
