Medium deep crimson in colour. A very fragrant wine, scented with mulberry and blackcurrant, there are pastille/ leaft aromas and elements of new oak. Sweet cassis bouquets, traces of raspberries and red liquorice, olives and soy, mint and blueberry. The palate is well concentrated and solid with cassis/ leafy flavours and strong, slightly grippy tannins. Strong dominant fruit on the palate, bound together by the seamless integration of supportive oak, and spine chilling earth characters. Highly defined and polished, the full bodied palate is set like aspic with the integrated, sweet oak and tannins that grip. The wine shows impeccable balance, sweetness of fruit and a long lingering finish, the hallmarks of a great wine.
