Many of the world's greatest vineyards are situated along either bank of Route des Grands Crus which runs through the heart of Burgundy. Gevrey-Chambertin is one of the most celebrated appellations in the region, it is steeped in history, the eponymous Chateau was occupied as early as the ninth century by Benedictine monks who grew grapes and made wine. Chambertin was Napoleon's favourite tipple and he always brought barrels along with him on campaign. Vieilles Vignes represents the entry level into Domaine Dugat-Py.
