It's easy to appreciate why Jamiesons Run make such popular white wines. At each vintage the team are provided with a unique opportunity to assemble a fresh, clean Sauvignon Blanc, fashioned from fruit grown to the best vineyards, displaying exquisite varietal characters while being a profound expression of the terroir whence it originates. Grapes are sourced from choice sites on the rich soils of Limestone Coast, to construct a strongly regional wine with an exemplary balance of good fruit, splendid acidity and fine textures.
One of the nation's great winemaking estates, the original Jamiesons Run property was a remote outback sheep station owned by the Jamieson Brothers in the mid 1800s. Two of Australia's most significant historical identities laid the foundations for Jamiesons Run. First was prime minister Alfred Deakin with the assistance of irrigation experts William and George Chaffey, second was Coonawarra patriarch John Riddoch. Sauvignon Blanc from closely managed vineyards is harvested throughout thew cool of the night to capture all the bright varietal aromas and flavours. Fruit is crushed and pressed to tank, inoculated and treated to a cool fermentation, capturing the vital elements of terroir and clime.
TASTING NOTES
A pale yellow in colour. Fresh, tropical passionfruit and citrus characters on the bouquet, a light mineral edge to the nose with pleasant hints of lemongrass and spice. The palate displays subtle grassy notes, citrus and grapefruits before a crisp, clean finish. Drink now to enjoy the fresh fruit characters, alongside barramundi, chicken caesar or prawns.

Jamiesons Run, based in the heart of the famous Coonawarra region was named as a tribute to it's pioneering past. Two men separated by time and distance laid the foundations for Jamiesons Run's creation. The first was Alfred Deakin, Australia's second prime minister with the assistance of Canadian irrigation experts William and George Chaffey and the second was John Riddoch. Jamiesons Run»
