Every year around harvest time, the townsfolk of Montefalco host the festival of
Settimana Enologica, the new vintage of Montefalco Rosso flows freely, tourists and local bon vivant celebrate the mirth of
dolca vita and the joy of good wine. Two thirds Sangiovese, the balance in Merlot and Sagrantino, vinified at warmer temperatures and treated to extended macerations, before a long repose of fourteen months in seasoned oak barriques. Olive, cherries and plum, a sensational accord of fruit, smooth tannins and succulent, savoury tang.
