A harmonious
cepage of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier, Brut Rose is a seductive wine, the assemblage formed around a dominance of Pinot. At the same time both spontaneous and balanced, emphasising fruity liveliness, zestful and immensely pleasurable, effusive and generous yet supple and refined. The handsome copper hue and rose tinted effervescence excites, a lively, expressive nose, dominated by the scent of wild strawberries before a well structured, full bodied palate, zestful with piquant red berry characters, fruit filled and assertive.
Moet Chandon are crafted by a team of some ten oenologists, each with complementary experience acquired across a wide range of winegrowing regions around the world. Moet Chandon is forever seeking to harness the riches of the unique terroir of Champagne. In 1927, through the influence of Moet Chandon, the Champagne vineyard was awarded an Appellation d'Origine, which subsequently became one of the first ever AOCs in 1935% The history of Champagne is inseparably linked to the story of Moet & Chandon. In 1446, Jean and Nicolas Moët were made nobles by King Charles VII. In 1743, Claude Moët, a leading wine trader in Epernay for many years, founded the company we now know as Moët et Chandon.
TASTING NOTESElegant salmon pink colour with golden hue. Aromas unravel slowly layer by layer, there are small crisp red fruits, raspberry, redcurrant and wild strawberry, with blackish fruits like blackcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry. On the palate, there is ample weight and broad layers of cherries, black and swet, red and tart, sour and morello. Cuvee Rose lingers in a delicious finale tinged with vanilla and liquorice.
