The folks at [yellow tail] believe that great wine should also be great fun to drink, they know that crafting wines, which are perfect for today's contemporary lifetyles, mean a break with the traditions and a rewriting of old rules. They take Sauvignon Blanc very seriously indeed, and have taken a trip across the Tasman to appropriate parcels of Marlborough grapes which bring distinctive vitality and zing. Drink [yellow tail], enjoy it, share it, swill it. And, while it is seriously good wine, don't get too serious about it.
All the wine [yellow tail] makes is instantly recognisable for its appearance and its personality. [yellow tail] love making great wine that's easy for everyone to enjoy every day. It's what makes [yellow tail] happy. A mostly Australian Sauvignon Blanc with a choice component of New Zealand fruit. Grapes are harvested at night to ensure the berries retain maximum freshness and flavour. Bunches are crushed and inoculated to select yeasts, using only the quality free run juices. [yellow tail] is vinified at low temperatures in controlled fermenters before it is stabilised and clarified, followed by an immediate bottling to retain all the lively characteristics of ripe, pungent Sauvignon Blanc.
TASTING NOTES
Pale straw in colour. Vibrant citrus, passionfruit and fresh grassy scents on the nose. A tantalising palate of limes, tropical fruit and green apple. The lengthy finish shows good depth of flavour with crisp, refreshing acidity. A great wine that everyone can enjoy, anytime, any place, which is why nobody should tell you what to enjoy it with.

About Yellow Tail Wines
The Casella family has been making wine in the Riverina since 1965
Filippo and Maria Casella emigrated to Australia bringing with them their know-how acquired through three generations of grape-growing and winemaking in Italy. Recognising the potential of the region, Filippo purchased a farm in the town of Yenda, New South Wales. After selling the grapes from his farm to local wineries, he decided in 1969 that it was time for a new generation to put its winemaking skills to use, and the winery was born. Yellow Tail»
