The Buffalo Trace whiskyworks were established circa 1800 in Franklin County along Kentucky River, at a place where herds of buffalo would cut a ford in the days before the
iron horse. The oldest continuously operating Distillery in America, granted special license during Prohibition to make Whiskey for medicinal purposes, Buffalo Trace have claimed more significant international awards than any other Distillery in the world. Its precious brew of corn, rye and barley malt, is luxuriously aged in new oak barrels, to achieve Kentucky Whiskey of the highest order.
