Established during the 1970s, the Goundrey vineyards were planted at a time when Mount Barker had only just been recognised for its viticultural potential. A small number of local farmers diversified their operations with grape vines and their hobby farms evolved into one of the nation's leading winegrowing regions. The area yields a deliciously new world style of Sauvignon Blanc, brimming with herbaceousness and virile, market garden characters. Fruit is treated to a minimalist vinification to retain all the varietal freshness of Sauvignon Blanc as it ripens on the vine.
