Valley of the Giants can source grapes from the best West Australian vineyards, retaining access to the quality of fruit which can translate into stunning everyday wines. But but this does not mean the team can't do better. It's a priority to preserve and enhance the gifts of the vineyard through an attention to detail and minimal handling throughout the vinification. The uniquely Aussie
cepage of Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz, offering a mouthfilling palate and early drinking tannins, ideal with pizza or tapas, barbeques and grills.
The winemaking team work closely with growers, deliberately limiting yields and managing every aspect of the viticulture to yield harvests of the ripest, healthiest grapes. And the Giants? It's about an ancient forest, famous as a tourist destination, home to enormous Red Tingle trees. The magic of this sanctuary comes alive at night as local fauna meander around the giant trees, some of which are up to sixteen metres in circumference. Valley of the Giants is proudly West Australian, the fruit of naturally endowed vineyards and idyllic growing seasons. Classic Dry Red is matured six months under a selection of French oak, select parcels remaining unwooded to retain fresh fruit focus.
TASTING NOTESVibrant red with a solid core. Lifted red berry fruits are fresh and inviting with raspberry and redskin leaping from the glass. Subtle, biscuity oak plays an unobtrusive, supportive role. Juicy red currant and loganberry fruits are bright and fleshy, providing juicy, more-ish flavours. The palate is supported by finely textured tannins adding length on the finish with the slightest lick of spicy French oak.
