For over 150 years Pewsey Vale Vineyard has produced aromatic white wines of exceptional style, varietal flavour and consistency. A reputation for success with these wines and a location high in Eden Valley inspired the planting of Gewürztraminer. Pewsey Vale captures the essence of cool climate fruit with delightful fragrances and a long pristine palate.
The batches remain in barrel for up to four months whilst being treated to regular batonnage before assembling components into the final wine. Alcohol 12.0%
TASTING NOTES
A clear, pale straw appearance. With a slight, spicy cinnamon and rose water fragrance on the nose, the flavours of Pewsey Vale follow, full of oranges and lime, lychee and exotic perfumed florals. The palate is fine but unexpectedly textured, finishing long and fresh.

Land was up for grabs and Joseph wasted no time grabbing it, just four months after his arrival - 15,000 acres of rugged high country in the then-wild and remote Barossa ranges, some 40 miles from Adelaide. By 1841, just two years after his arrival, Joseph, the 38 year old son of a well-heeled English landowner, had built a fine homestead and planted Pewsey Vale's first grapevines. The vines were of a table grape variety, but an idea was starting to take shape... Pewsey Vale»
