Excellent Langtons Classification. Named after winemaker Neill Robb's wife, Sally's Paddock is handcrafted from a single unirrigated vineyard, entirely estate grown, vinified and bottled, universally regarded as one of Australia's first growths. The unique combination of soil, cool to mild climatic and traditionally managed vines produce low yield grapes of high intensity, colour and flavour, achieving the most compelling wines in the classic Pyrenees style. Langtons listed ever since the catalogue's inception, Sally's Paddock is a long lived and enduring national icon wine.
Sally's Paddock was established by Neill and Sally Robb near the town of Redbank on the central Victorian Pyrenees in 1973. Sally's Paddock grows modest crops of exceptional quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, hand picked at optimum balance, treated to small batch vinification with wild yeasts, hand punched and basket pressed in the old fashioned way. Through uncompromising pursuit of excellence and quality of fruit, Sally's Paddock has brought Pyrenees wines to the world. Extended use of new American and French Nevers oak ensure that the eloquence of the complex cépage from this legendary vineyard are conserved in the wine, well into maturity.
TASTING NOTES
Dense colour, beautiful deep crimson tending to burgundy. Stylish, smooth and elegant with a perfume of violets, very complex. Scents of new wood with dense and slightly obscure berry/ spice aromas, cassis and redcurrants, plums and mulberry over restrained dusty cedar/ vanilla oak, some chocolate and cigar box. Layers of berries, chocolate oak, spices and herbs. A smooth, soft, evenly textured palate which is the hallmark of Sally's Paddock.

More About Sallys Paddock Winery
The Sally's Paddock Wineworks were established by Neill and Sally Robb in the Pyrenees region of Central Victoria in 1973
Sally's Paddock is a distinctly Australian winemaking and culinarily focussed estate, named after the small town situated three kilometers to the north, two hours north-west of Melbourne at the heart of the Pyrenees rangea. Sally's Paddock has established a reputation for producing wines of excellent quality, consistency and value. Neill and Sally originally planted the estate to Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec, today there are forty five acres under vine, producing extremely high quality grapes. After more than thirty years in the wine business, Sally's Paddock continues to be wholly owned and operated by Neill and Sally Robb. Sallys Paddock»
