The Art & Soul Sauvignon Blanc is crafted in the traditional Peter Lehmann way, fashioned to be a crisp and clean, refreshing young white. Vinified without any exposure to oak, a rejuvenating accord of parts exhibiting refined acidity and intense aromaticness in a dry, yet juicy style. The Peter Lehmann team have included a harvest from the cool climate Adelaide Hills, contributing extra appealing fruit lift to the softer Barossa palate. A delightful young wine to enjoy as a revitalizing aperitif, perfect alongside white meats and Al fresco faire. Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc is characterized by crisp vegetable character and bright steely acidity, the Barossa makes a more supple style with delicate tropical notes, together they construct a vigorous wine with immense drinkability factor. Grapes are picked throughout the cool of night from fine vineyards which have been selected by the Peter Lehmann team, parcels are crushed, chilled and treated to a spell on skins for a cold soak and course of extractions to enhance flavour. Following a long cool vinification in controlled fermenters, components are clarified and assembled, completely unwooded and unoaked, to capture the vibrancy of all the delightful Sauvignon Blanc fruit characters. TASTING NOTESPale lemon hue, delicate green tints. Aromas of snow pea and lemongrass, fresh cut citrus notes, scents of the tropics, minerality and lychee hints. An explosion of tropical flavours on the palate, zesty and full of fruit, lime and lemongrass, clean and zippy yet delicate, an intensel aromatic, dry style, before a refreshingly crisp, dry finish. |
