Tyrrell's is a story about pioneers, men and women who transformed Australia, planted grapes and looked for better ways to make wine. From historical roots in the premiere viticultural precincts of Hunter Valley, Tyrrell has ventured across the country to locate fruit from the finest vineyards. Harvests of choice Sauvignon Blanc and estate grown Hunter Valley Semillon are treated to a separate vinification at the Pokolbin wineworks. Following inoculation by aromatic yeasts to maximise fragrant characters and a cool, temperature controlled fermentation, Old Winery is promptly assembled and bottled to retain all the vivacious, classic dry white fruit flavours.
