Medium crimson. Appealing red berry/mint-chocolate aromas and subtle oak nuances. A well concentrated wine with redcurrant/blackberry/ chocolate/ mint flavours and fine, leafy, chewy tannins. Forward, earlier drinking Grange with a deepish red-brown appearance and a spicey, dusty, herbal bouquet of prune, raisin and licorice. Beginning juicy and plummy, a very firm, dry finish. An elegant Grange. Winemaker comments by John Duval: Colour is dense brick red in colour. Nose is typical of Grange showing strong rich, berry fruit and minty characters with smoky oak overtones. Full, firm, rich palate with excellent concentration of sweet plum and cherrylike fruit, vanillin oak flavours and soft, mouthfilling tannins.
